What can be said about Shimano SPD pedals. The cleat system has truly stood the test of time. Reliable, well engineered. I have used spd pedals for a long time and enjoy the no nonsense pedal system. They work well and have earned there places as a off road pedal system.
Even at the base model of these pedals the quality of marterials may change as you go up in their range with titianium and other fancy materials. But the design and engineering remains the same with these great clip in pedal system. I chose the flat pedal spd variation so that I could wear a non clipped shoe. For those quick rides to the shop.
